Could this be the outlet for my frustrations??? Or could this be another dark hole like all those diaries I bought and put in three entries and never picked up again... Hmmmmmm....I guess we will see.
Well, I'm a 4th year PhD student in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology and Veterinary Pathobiology. I am working on my comprehensive exams right now, which is extremely stressful..but once they are done I can pretty much graduate any time..Not that i will, I'm sure it will still take me about 2 more years after this year is done.. ha ha.
I am also married to the lub of my life..Sean. He's great. We were good friends in college and then we dated for a year, got married and have been married almost 2 years now and everything is still fantastic. We have a four year old daughter Mollee, who is also fantastic. She is just like me,but more sassy than I am. Picture is of Mollee and my niece Tessa. I also have two cats, Dulce and Macchiato, a little Westie/Silkie mix named Jake the Pillow snake (Jakey) and a pet rat named Bitsy.
For my PhD, I work on Yersinia pestis, the agent that causes Plague ( you know, black death, bubonic plague..killed 1/3 of Europe in the 1300s...) I love it. It's what I've always wanted to do.
For free time, I love to exercise..Well, i mostly love it. I love running and riding my bike and I enjoy lifting weights. I've lost 23 lbs so far and still want to lose 10 more, so hopefully i'm on my way. I also draw portraits and anime and do oil paintings of things like koi and Buddha. I love Asian art. I also crochet a little, I'm getting better at following patterns. I like to read non-science books and watch Ghost Hunters. I also recently joined the Mid Mo Paranormal Society and am looking forward to my first Ghost hunt!! Yay!!!
